RE: Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss Waterfalls

This is awesome. It reminds me of a place I helicoptered into in New Zealand called, Mt Earnslaw Burn, a glacier carved valley which gets covered with snow. At the end of winter it melts and caused many waterfalls to cascade off the mountains into the valley, much like you show here.

I googled this place, looks really cool indeed, I can see some similarities. New Zealand has always been one of the bucket list destination for me. Problem is, its damn far from me so when I go its pretty much once in a lifetime. Iceland is close so I can always go there with ease.

It's very cool, I was there in 2019, (it's only accessible by helicopter or a very serious days long hike in). I'd go back. I did some posts on it.

Obviously it's not too far from Australia so it's likely I'll get back ther. I love NZ, such a beautiful place.

I would love to be there on foot, did the helicopter touch down so you could get some good shots from ground level too ?

Iceland has many similarities in nature except Iceland has MUCH less trees. I guess Iceland is my NZ lol.

Yeah, there's only one helicopter ompant that has permission to land and that's who I chartered. I was there for around an hour on the ground, explored and all.

I'd like to go to Iceland, always wanted to. The closest I got was Finland so far.

Thats awesome!

Oh cool, I live 50 km from Finland 😃

I was there visiting my brother, loved it although was ther in summer, not winter. I'd love to see rit in winter though. I was set (booked and paid) to go to Scandinavia in June 2020 but it was all cancelled due to the flu thing. I was bummed. Il like to spend a few months in the area really, Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia. Maybe someday. It's a long way from Australia.

Thats such a great plan you had, such a shame it had to be cancelled. Hope you can make it happen real soon. Come in summer if you can, its almost never ending daylight then, depending where you are.
