I've met many fresh graduates from the EU taking a trip across Europe within 1-2 gap months before they start working full time, and it seems quite doable. They often were backpacers, though. Not much comfort, many experience :)) Still, a month trip can span from the south of Spain to Scandinavia and then back to the Balcans, quite all right to get a true European insight.

Wow, that is really impressive. I'm so used to how far away everything is here in the states, so it doesn't seem possible. I guess the fact that Europe has a nice rail system probably helps. I wish we had one of those here.
We also have extremely affordable fligts - low costs can get as cheap as $10 per flight :) You only need to know how to book them, and travel off the peak season.
