Last night, while choosing the content for today's post, a feeling of nostalgia caught me and I decided to write to you today and present my story about my photo group on Facebook with photos.
So, let's start with a nice storyโค๏ธ
This first photo, which we called the Millennium photo โค๏ธ๐ธ๐๐of the photo group The Best of Us, was created during the most joyful gathering of the photo team from Zagreb and my city, Sisak. But let's start from the beginning.
In January 2018, in the desire for new knowledge about photography, with the desire to meet people who love photography, I created the Facebook group The Best of Us.
I designed and realized the appearance of the group logo and my personal sticker
Soon, a large number of my photographer friends from my city joined the group, but then people from Zagreb, other cities of my country, even a considerable number of people from other countries joined the group.
And So, little by little, we got to know each other through photography, exchanging our experiences and knowledge about it. We met in that imaginary world, we became like one big and warm family. Already in June of the same year, 2018, the need to meet in person was born. I organized our meeting in my city during the coverage of the Flower Fair. It was our first meeting, full of laughter, joy and joy.โค๏ธ
When we got to know each other so much that we really became like one big family, the idea formed in my head that we could help someone with our photos. That's how I created the idea of โโa humanitarian campaign with which our photos would be sold for humanitarian purposes. My photo friends enthusiastically accepted that idea, we chose the beneficiary of that action, it was the Vrbin Children's Home in my town, a home for abandoned and neglected children.๐๐๐
In that humanitarian campaign, we raised a wonderful amount ๐ช๐๐ by selling our photos and successfully ended it by handing over that amount to the director of the Children's Home. We were treated to a show prepared for us by the children from the home. One experience and impressions for all time.โค๏ธ

Already the following year, around the same time in Decembar 2019, I organized with the same friends, but also some new ones who joined during the year, another humanitarian action for the Kas Association.
Association Kas deals with therapeutic horse riding for children with special needs. In this campaign, we collected double the amount than in the first one, we were all happy and proud. It is a wonderful feeling to help the needy.โค๏ธ๐
We took part in pro bono photo shoots at several sports events, such as the Half Marathon in my town, the Half Marathon in Vrbovsko, the Little Race Sisak-Posavina, the Marathon in Dugo Selo, Dog competition ... But most of all we loved, respected and enjoyed spending time together with laughter , the joy and adoration of photography.๐ช๐ธโค๏ธ
However, I have to single out one special event for all of us. During the campaign called "Plant a tree, don't be a stump" in October 2019, at the Inclusive Farm in Hrastovica, not far from my town, we participated in planting purchased tree saplings. By the way, this association in the village of Hrastovica near Petrinja previously started the first Croatian inclusive farm, a place that offers work, education on growing food and a place for people with disabilities to socialize.๐
Our tree grows year after year, I visit it from time to time. But we're gone...๐
After all these joys, happiness ๐, happiness in helping others... The cursed Covid came (I cursed him so many times), separated us and in the fear we all found ourselves in, we simply became cruel, self-sufficient, we forgot about joy, laughter and joy โค๏ธ๐. We forgot about the beauty of the feeling of sharing happiness ๐.... We forgot about everything beautiful in us ๐.
And not only Covid .... These wonderful events were shattered and forgotten by the earthquakes in Zagreb and my city. It seems that in these ugly events we have lost the feeling that we need each other very much ๐. As our gatherings disappeared, the warmth in my group The Best of Us slowly disappeared and I archived it last year at this time. Occasionally, just like last night and especially this morning, now that I'm writing about us, a huge desire to pick her up again and move on with her and all these people comes to the surface. But it seems that the joy in us has disappeared with all the troubles that befell us and I don't think it would ever be the same again. That's why, for now, I have to suppress the desire for a reunion ๐.
Dear friends, this is in words the biggest and longest post created since I was here. But I opened my soul to you and wrote everything about us โค๏ธ. I hope at least one of you will read all of this.
At the end of the post, I have to repeat our Millennium photo, which shows happiness ๐ in socializing.

Oh, my dear, you hid this beautiful story, like the soul that today you consciously open to us but that is seen in all your photographs. It was a wonderful miracle that you joined so many people to do those tasks of helping others and the planet. Life is a constant change and when it is a large group it becomes more difficult to maintain that initial urge of illusion. It's normal to feel nostalgic when you remember it, but keep all those smiles, especially those in the photo of the millennium. They were real, you shared happiness and I thank you for that. I hope you continue to visit your tree from time to time.

Dear @palomap3, thank you for this wonderful comment. Today I am really both happy and sad. Happy because I remembered all our joys while writing the post, and sad because I know that such joys will never happen again. We all live in a world that is becoming more and more cruel, without any happiness, joy and beautiful things and beautiful events. And that world made me so sad...... But life goes on because it has to go on.... Thank you once again, I have to say that you made me cry.... And yes, of course I will visit our tree whenever if I succeed, I will tell him our story every time, because the tree will stay in this world much longer than us.... Maybe with the wind it will carry this story of mine, this story of ours...โค๏ธโค๏ธ
Until a couple of weeks ago I also thought that the world is getting worse. A great tragedy had to happen in my country to see that there are still many, many people willing to help others in exchange for nothing. (I'm referring to Spain, there were some major floods due to rains in Valencia)
We changed, yes, but it's not bad. Even your tree, even if it doesn't move from the site, is different every time you see it. โค๏ธ๐คโค๏ธ
I am truly sorry for the disaster that befell you. That's exactly what happened here when we were hit by a catastrophic earthquake in 2020, and yes, you're right...
