Day 3 and 4 Mountain skiing in French Alps

Day 3 was absolutely spectacular in the French Alps. The weather got fully clear and we were finally able to actually see where we skied, and what the area actually looks like. All the crazy alpine views are in this post. If you haven't seen it yet then you can find the post of days 1 and 2 here.

I think there can't be any better or more perfect conditions to have a ski day in the mountains than we had on day 3. Fully clear weather for the views. Fresh powder snow from the last days and below zero temperatures so no wet snow.
These first 3 pictures are taken with a proper camera out of our accommodation window in the morning.

All the following photos are taken with a phone since I didn't carry my mirrorless on the mountain.

The views were so gorgeous that most of the time in the first part of the day we just had our minds blown constantly.

What you see in the photo below is one of the highest, if not the highest mountain in Europe, Mont Blanc. It reaches up to 4807 meters high, I have always wanted to see it with my own eyes.

The main ski village in this area is Val Thorens which sits at 2300 meters of altitude. I think it's the highest ski village in the country. It's full of accommodations for skiers. Apart from that some shops and restaurants, not much else. It looks really cool in the middle of the mountains.

Here is the highest point we visited and skied down from. It's at 3002 meters of altitude. Here are two photos of views to either side.

Restaurant area we ate in on the mountain. A lot of skis everywhere.

We also visited a party on the mountain. A DJ and a real legit party. I guess some spend a whole day just drinking and dancing there. We had a couple of drinks and spent some time there until we had to start skiing back to our village.

Day 4

Day 4 and our last day weren't as great as the previous one. Our faces were burnt to shit from the last day because we were stupid enough to not use sunscreen. Sun at high altitudes really destroys your skin fast. Also, the temperature was on the plus side and we had wet snow which is far from ideal. Here are some shots of the day 4.

The cool thing we saw was a really unique-looking airstrip in the mountains. The runway is short as hell.

Overall, all the 4 days skiing in the French Alps was amazing and we had some really great times during this time. 3 Les Valles truly is a huge ski resort and we didn't even come close to seeing all the ski trails and slopes this resort has to offer. I am sure that I will be back sometime in the future and explore the place more!

Woah! I've been to La Folie Douce, it was really fun to go up there and ski down the slope. We stayed at Saint Gervais but we were in a different ski resort. :D

Oh cool! Mountain skiing is always so much fun and worth the money spent on the trip!

I never thought it could be that expensive. I volunteered to pay for 2 people on our last day. haha

Drinking doubles the price of the trip. Beer is ridiculously expensive in those ski resorts.

I never drink beer upstairs. We just drink Coca-Cola. hehe!
