UFO Watchtower, Colorado

in Photography Loverslast year (edited)

The UFO watchtower is definitely one of the most unique attractions to visit in Colorado. It is located in a middle of nowhere, in San Luis Valley in southern Co. San Luis Valley is a spectacle on its own IMO. A huge perfectly flat valley surrounded by dramatic mountains on almost any side. It's 50km wide and 100km long, reaching to New Mexico. Driving a road that is 70km straight line was something totally new to me. When it got darker car's headlights were visible. You could see a car 15km away, they seem close but it actually took a lot of time to pass each other, it was weird.

This is San Louis valley from Google maps. The pin is located pretty much where the UFO Watchtower is.

Okay, to the subject now, the UFO Watchtower. Basically, this valley is apparently a hotspot for strange sightings in the sky. There are countless instances where people have seen strange stuff up there. On the spot, I read strange metal-looking spheres and so on. Several documentaries have been made and books written about this location. Also, at the exact spot where this observation tower is, it's noted that there is supposedly a strange magnetic energy.

People have brought a lot of stuff there over the years. Honestly, most of it is total crap but some cool stuff too. Many alien figures and statues. Also, many USA license plates which I would have loved to bring back home lol since I collect these. I would love to have all the license plates of all USA states but it's expensive to get them sent here to Estonia. As of now, I have a couple of them. If you steal from this spot then bad luck will fall on you it was said there lol.

The alien ship-looking thing made a strange alien sound with the wind, it was a bit creepy indeed.

I did look in the sky periodically yes. Unfortunately, I failed to see any of the UFOs and aliens or anything strange. I also didn't feel anything of these vortexes. I can't really say that I'm a believer in these vortex things but I keep an open mind. I definitely believe in aliens somewhere out there. It's extremely unlikely that we are alone in this universe. We are special but not that special to not have life anywhere else.

Check out these insanely cool god rays that appeared at some point, it was a cool sight. Maybe that was my extraterrestrial sight lol, created by advanced species. Maybe lights not from sunshine but from a spaceship 👽!

San Louis Valley is also an extremely dark place during the night. There are no big settlements nearby and light pollution is at its minimum. I spent one night in this valley and did get to see the starry sky for some time until the clouds came in. Here are a couple of photos I got captured in the evening. I didn't have a tripod so I had to make do with a camera on the ground.

It is for sure a great location to go if you wish to stargaze. Again, I saw nothing strange in the sky when it was dark. San Louis Valley is also called Dark Sky National Park.

The next morning I went to another unique place called Great Sand Dunes National Park which is also in this valley. This is a subject I'm gonna write about soon and the hike we did in the sand mountains. Stay tuned!

I really liked the photos you shared, they look very interesting.

I also liked the theme because it's about UFOs and aliens hahaha.

Cheers!

Thanks, Its always a fascinating subject. Even if stories are not ture, its still cool to hear these.

You’re welcome ☺️

I myself am very fond of visiting such beautiful places and it's great to go there and read their history and ask people about it.

They must have so much fun watching this from above :D

That looks like a fascinating place :) I'm surprised you didn't take your tripod!

The sunbeams through the clouds is an awesome photo and a cool sight.

I believe in Aliens, but I don't believe they have been anywhere near Earth so to be it's just a cool natural sight.

Yeah, pretty much think the same. 99% of reported sightings are probably bullshit but who knows maybe something is true hah, we never know.

They might be closer than you think! I have been writing about the topic as it unfolds in current events here is my newest article If you are interested in the topic check out all my articles ! Waooo, it's a great place to visit. You are lucky that You have spent night there under the starry sky.
Thoughts of peoples about this place is really interesting .
People spread such news just for fun and mostly innocent peoples believes them too.

Yeah, Its mostly bullshit but strange things have happened.

But how? I think nobody believes in alien like thing. Even we do not consider any unseen creature. Because we are all living in the age of scientific world.

Maybe we are more special than anyone? Maybe we are the last creature. I don't know I don't believe in this alien thing.

It's a possibility for sure but an unlikely one. There are so many Earth (like) planets out there. But we have no way of knowing what lives there. Maybe some animal(like) things, maybe only microbial life but something sure exists IMO.

We'll get more information about it in the coming future

Thanks for sharing your experience at the UFO Watchtower and San Luis Valley! It sounds like a fascinating place, even if you didn't see any UFOs.

I'm particularly interested in the fact that San Luis Valley is a hotspot for strange sightings and has a reputation for having strange magnetic energy. It's also cool to know that it's a great place to go stargazing.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your hike in the sand mountains at Great Sand Dunes National Park!

Glad you found it interesting. Even if the sightings are not true, its still interesting to read about it and see the place in person.

It’s the first time in my life that I see something like this! Very very interesting and stunning at night! The stars look wonderful. I wonder how the energy feels there.

The sky was extremely nice yes, at least until the clouds came in. I did not feel the energy that was written about but who knows, maybe some do 😀

😱😳 wow, that's cool although strange, too because, Aren't the men in black and the US government supposed to not like people having contact with aliens? 👽🤔 Maybe this is a distraction from searching for the true location of the sightings 🤨🤫🛸

I guess everything can be possible in theory but mostly I think the land lord tries to profit off the aliens haha.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I haven't thought about that 😂👍

Pigem oleks tehnoloogia mida me ei oskaks ette kujutadagi hetkel.
