So many years ago I met Lana and that resulted in a few Light Painting adventures together. I posted a shot or two about this when I started sharing some images here in Hive (and former Steem). During some spare time in between holidays, I revisited the folder and the originals. This cool Light Painting series also led to my YouTube channel. Here wanted to show you a few more and also share some impressions along the way.
Vor schon vielen Jahren habe ich Lana getroffen, und wir hatten ein paar Light-Painting-Abenteuer zusammen. Als ich hier auf Hive (früher Steem) angefangen habe, Bilder zu teilen, hatte ich schon ein oder zwei davon gepostet. Zwischen den Feiertagen habe ich den Ordner und die Originale nochmal durchgeschaut. Diese LP-Serie war auch einer der Gründe, warum ich meinen YouTube-Kanal gestartet habe. Jetzt hier zeige ich euch ein paar weitere Shots und Eindrücke davon.
The original Idea was to go to the Baltic Sea, this time Warnemünde, and get more cool shots than just one. So we wanted to see the location and weather conditions. Get there early, have a picknick or so and enjoy a sunset then some Light Painting, please!
Die ursprüngliche Idee war, an die Ostsee zu fahren – diesmal nach Warnemünde – und mehr coole Shots als nur einen zu machen. Also wollten wir uns die Location und die Wetterbedingungen anschauen. Früh ankommen, den Sonnenuntergang genießen und dann bitte ein bisschen Light Painting!

Hier seht ihr die typischen Strandkörbe in den Sanddünen.
The shots directly on the beach didn’t turn out as I had hoped because the wind picked up really strong. It got cold fast, so we headed back to the car. At the parking lot, there was a huge puddle of water creating a perfectly set stage for her, and I asked Lana if she was still up for a few more shots. I knew the reflections going to be mind-boggling.
Great decision as you will see in a moment!
Die Aufnahmen direkt am Strand sind nicht so geworden, wie ich gehofft hatte, weil der Wind plötzlich richtig stark wurde. Es wurde schnell kalt, also sind wir zurück zum Auto gegangen. Auf dem Parkplatz gab es eine riesige Wasserpfütze, die eine perfekte Bühne für sie bot. Ich habe Lana gefragt, ob sie noch Lust auf ein paar weitere Shots hat.

Someone at work gave me about six 2m long Plexi Tubes that I shortened to get easy in my car. The perfect tool for this shot. I attached some flashlights on both ends and moved the rod slowly but smoothly behind here during the exposure.

Ein Kollege hat mir etwa sechs 2 Meter lange Plexi-Rohre gegeben, die ich gekürzt habe, damit sie leichter in mein Auto passen. Ich habe an beiden Enden Taschenlampen befestigt und den Stab während der Belichtung langsam, aber gleichmäßig hinter ihr entlangbewegt.

Then some more people got to see the results. I had no idea that this Light Painting image would go places or get any traction or attention at all.
In parts here I have to send out a huge thanks to @lichtkunstfoto kaka Sven again. He knows! Somehow my photo then was in the to 8 or so for the International Light Painting Award 2016 organized by Jan Leonardo Wöllert in cooperation with Sony and Zeiss. During this event, I met so many talented Loight Painters that I still know to this day.
Thank you all for the recognition and the motivation to continue my path in Light Painting.
Das Bild ging rum! Ich hatte ja keine Ahnung, dass dieses Bild so weit herumkommen oder überhaupt irgendeine Aufmerksamkeit bekommen würde.
Hier muss ich also wieder mal ein riesiges Dankeschön an @lichtkunstfoto aka Sven raushauen. Irgendwie landete mein Foto damals unter den Top 8 oder so beim International Light Painting Award 2016, organisiert von Jan Leonardo Wöllert in Zusammenarbeit mit Sony und Zeiss. Das beste aber daran war, dass ich bei diesem Event so viele talentierte intl. Light Painter kennengelernt habe.
