Blue hour pictures on blue Monday.

Happy blue Monday every boy.

According to western media it's the most depressing day of the year. No holidays in sight for a while, the weather is always bed around this time and days are short. New year also means paying more bills and stuff like that. So lets show you some pictures with that theme than.

Blue hour is the hour before sunrise and the hour after sunset. The sky could be a nice blue color if you are lucky. Here are a couple of examples of the blue hour pictures that I have made the last years.

This is the biggest lake in the Netherlands. Along the shore line are fishing nets placed to capture the fish that are looking for food at the shore line.
I love to see that the water and sky are moving here and the poles are as they are for always.

A nice rock in frame in the front always makes a picture look moor appealing to me. Then the front of the picture is not that empty.

I think the sun was already up here. It just appeared above the clouds. I love to take pictures of poles in the water.

If you do long exposures the sunshine is also pretty visible above the horizon. The light gets stronger and stronger every second.

And when you take pictures of blue hour after sunset then the light gets weaker every time.

This is one of my best blue hour pictures. I made this picture at a little dock in the Vinkeveen lake area. That's the town I was born in 46 years ago.
