Good morning beautiful people!
Officially Autumn season has started here in the Netherlands! And the first autumn morning has now taken place! I spend about 5 hours photographing these foggy conditions, and all together, I took 540 pictures! I took a lot of focus staking pictures so they are not all different pictures but I have so many to show you!
People in landscape
And today I want to start with this couple who were enjoying the foggy forest too! I always try to get people in my landscape pictures, because I often think that it looks better! It tells a better stories and with people in the picture, it makes the scale of the landscape more visible!
When I see this picture now I still think it could be edited better! It still isn't white enough!
And that is why I think writing a post here on Hive is such a struggle! I always think something could be better in my photo's, or I want to add more photos to get a better story! Then I'll go back to editing again, instead of writing a blog!
Please tel me that's not only a me problem? And tell me what you think of this edit? I think its better!
This is the unedited picture and the edited color version! It was very grey in the beginning of the morning! I adjusted the highlights and white tones to get rid of the grey color!
But overall I really like that picture! Very happy with it! At first the couple was walking towards me! I also wanted to take a picture of that but some time it doesn't feel good! Taking picture of strangers! So I tried to hide it a bit and took this sneaky picture!
Interesting to see that the if you increase the difference in white and dark parts, the picture gets more interesting!
I always edit in Lightroom and convert it to black and white using the Silver efex plugin of the Nik collection!
Focus stacking
This is a focus stacking of 5 pictures! It also could be better because in the far distance there is still some parts out of focus! But Now I did capture a sharp for ground! Essential gear here is a good tripod! And if you want to try it, set your camera on two seconds delay! Then you are sure that also the movement of pushing the shutter button is gone by the time the picture is taken!
Here I just used three pictures in one focus stacking! the tree in front isn't as sharp as I had hoped!
This one is a bit to dark in the fore ground! But only the B&W version! The color one is very good! I could do better editing next time!
And this is my favorite location here! The small hills provide a good depth in this picture! Although it is too foggy in the distance to see that clearly! It's also a photo stack! This time 5 pictures!
