Unlivable... this is madness. Its still grey as f*@k in the Netherlands! Very depressing, and when you are already struggling mentally it doesn't get any better with weather like this.
Even seeing the pictures I made, make's me feel more depressed...
That's why I went to an even more depressing part of the forest!
Because the people have cut down to many trees in the old day's (more than 100 years ago), there are some open sand plain formed in the years. This dessert like environment is preserved now a days! So they have cut down some more trees and let sheep graze away the new plants. This to keep this part of the woods like a sort of dessert!
That's also why they let these dead trees just be like this and let nature take care of them. That's not a normal procedure here in the Netherlands, that's because we live an a very small country with 17 million people! A lot of us like to walk in nature and if we don't do any thing about the trees you can get accidents by falling branches or even falling trees.
The result is trees like this! this one has fallen down and new roots are forming underneath the branches that are close to the ground now! This is still very alive and growing very good!
