Hello photo lovers,
I have visited the gardens of the Alhambra in autumn last year. We wanted to visit the Alhambra it's self to, but then you need to book your tickets far in advance. It's so popular that it's sold out for weeks. And we didn't have the time to wait.
The gardens are not that popular and you can book your tickets mostly a day in advance. But this was during low season, so I don't know if that is the same in high season.
Here are some pictures that I took during the last hour of the day.
The light conditions were very good. The golden hour, including the golden colors of the autumn trees, made it a special evening. This part of the gardens is a bit higher up than most of the garden. That's why the views here are way better.
Like this one, with on the top right the Alhambra.
There was also a nive view over the city of Granada and the mountains in the back.
At the top part of the gardens they have build a couple of nice fountain gardens.
The second fountain is even bigger and it's surrounded by nice trees and buses that are in their best autumn colors. Autumn is a very good time to visit here.
We listen to a guide who was telling people that the fountain is powered by gravity. It streams from the higher top of the hill were these gardens are build. There is a source were the water flows out of. I don't now if that is natural ore that it is pumped up. But it flows very good as you can see.
This is the corridor at the end of the fountain garden. It has got two nice views. One in to the garden and one on the town of Granada.
One of the last stairs to the top of the garden. From here the views are also very good. But there are a lot of high trees in this part of the garden. Maybe because there is a lot of water here, they pomp it up from a spring source.
Not all trees do it so good...
The moon was already showing its self. Can you see him?
The last stairs are also providing the gardens and fountains with water. The gutters next to the stairs are full of running water.
