Bike tour through alps in southern Germany with several phot spots Part 1/2

}

Hey Photography Lovers Community,

last tuesday and wednesday i made a huge mountain bike tour (at least in my opinion) after finishing some major exams in my studies. I just needed to get a clear head again after learning for weeks.
And what's better than going outdoors, do some sports and combine it with photography?

Exactly; nothing! So i decided to do the so called ChiemgauKing bike tour, which is a official bike route with 168 km and 4629 hm (104 miles and around 5000 yd; how do you measure height in the american system?). As is does not start far away from my home i could just start at home.

I started early in the morning and was soon surpised by the sun.IMG_20210720_073114.jpg

I made some pictures with my smartphone and some with a semi-professional camera; so don't wonder about chaning image quality!
As you can see up in the mountains it still looks quite foggy. And thats exactly what it ended up to be.

Basically i could not see anything and had to go down very slow. Also thats a bit sad because this was the highest point to reach on this route and has normally a phantastic view.

Later that day the sun came again but clouds were still around. Even the cows were not up to much and rather lay down and enjoyed the little bit of sun they could get.

I'd loved to do the same but did not want to loose any time and so i biked further. Some impressions from the next kilometers:IMG_20210720_112823.jpg

Shortly after the place where i watched the people in this wild river, the trail became narrower and was secured with fences and ropes. One time i even had to carry my bike and go through a waterfall as you can see in the next two pictures.

Later on my way i discovered a georgeous little lake which is a perfect photo location. Look at this!

Few kilometers after that lake my first day ended in Ruhpolding, where i stayed a night. Maybe some Biathlon fans know that place ;)

Maybe you want to have a look at the second part of my little journey!
