Hello everyone,
few days ago i used my free day together with my girlfriend to climb a nearby mountain and watch the sunrise. Because it was almost the longest day of the year we got out of bed around 3am. What sounds like a nightmare to me (and also felt like this) was absolutely worth it.
After a short drive with our car and climbing for around one hour we finally got out of the woods and i started taking some pictures
A few more meters up we began to see the picturesque lake Chiemsee which is one of the biggest in all of Germany. And finally the sun came up.
Unfortanetly i have some smal dirt stains on my camera lens or sensor (I do not know yet)
We found a lovely small spot near the top where we made a break and enjoyed the fantastic view with the orange sky. The reflections of the lake made it even better.
Did you look closely at the trees? You can see that the wind is always come from the left thats why they have grown one-sided. Luckily at this day it was very calm.
Nevertheless we had to go down at one point but i still got the chance to take some more pictures
A few meters down we heard some strange noises and shortly after saw the cause:
There were several marmots right next to us. Unfortunately i did not have a Zoom lens with me but i think you can recognize them. We just stood there for maybe 10 minutes and watched baby marmots playing with each other and bigger ones running around and searching for food. At least thats what i think they did!
These little animals absolutely made my day :)
I hope you enjoyed this little trip from mine!
P.S. On the second picture there are two marmots. Can you see both of them?
Beautiful landscapes. Thank you for sharing.
Looks beautiful. What a lovely way to start your day
