#Monomad Scenes from a Bike - Edition 20 -Back to Uni

Welcome to The 20th edition of the series - Scenes from a bike

This Edition facts:

Location: Yesterday I was in my local bar and got into a conversation with a guy about my suburb - North Melbourne, you see his Son was just about to start Uni at the University of Melbourne and he was over (from Adelaide) to help find him a place to live. You see North Melbourne is about a 10 minute walk to the campus of Melbourne Uni - pretty convenient - so when I was looking for a place to ride and take some photos it seemed as good a place as any

Date & Weather: Sunday the 15th of January - the weather again is all over the place, yesterday 37 degrees, today, about 20, grey the light is flat

Equipment: My Fujifilm X-T5, mated with my 16-80mm zoom lens, and a Acros Film simulation in camera for all you monochrome needs.

The Concept & Finances: The concept is simple, I've bought an electric bike, on this bike I explore my hometown, Melbourne Australia and take photos, Priority 1 - Finding new places in Melbourne, Priority 2 - taking better photos, Bonus - Earn back the cost of the bike by creating content and getting paid for it on HIVE. The bike cost $1,100 USD. So far I've earned $118.25 from the previous 19 posts meaning I've paid for just under 11% of the bike and I have $982 to go. This is going to take some time, but this is all bonus money, the joy is in the taking of photos.

Other stuff: Short one today - it's all killer no filler (unless of course you think it's filler, in which case it probably is)

Let's see what I found

Student housing is everywhere, there is a beauty in the repetition

For all of your Lithium based coffee needs

This sums up Melbourne Uni well, the incredibly old, plenty of concrete and modernity and straggly trees all over the shop
Lines (1 of 1).jpg

There is something in the different forms of grey in this - the histogram looks like a ECG - there is white, light grey, medium grey and then black and really nothing else.

Gradients (1 of 1).jpg
F16, 400ISO, 1/250, 24mm

Curves - who doesn't like curves?

Call me - seriously would this ever get used

And finally this is probably more of what you would expect at a 'Sandstone University' Melbourne Uni was formed in 1853
