This will be an irregular series of posts - in these posts I'm going to look back into my archive to see what photos I took this day in previous years
This 'Not from Today' but it is from the 9th of February
2004 - Let's step back 21 years, a whole adult ago, if this photo was a person it would celebrating in a hall somewhere, with uncle's it hasn't seen for years, it would have embarrassing speeches made about it. What would those speeches say? that it was born in the front yard of a house I lived it at the time, I was clearly playing with the concept of light painting, and maybe even multiple exposure, why I choose to do this whilst wearing a weird Hawaiian shirt and no shoes is anyone's guess. But there is a ghost like quality I like in this.
2016 - We I saw this photo, I assumed it was in North Melbourne, where I've lived for about the last 15 years, but there is no Green street here, and we don't have those fancy pretend English historic post box - it turns out this is in Cremorne, it would have been through the (perhaps deliberately forgotten) period when we were living with my in laws whilst waiting for our apartment to be completed - which if my maths is right would have been about a week later than when this photo was taken.
2018
We are now standing on the balcony of this now finished apartment - we are pointing the camera west, where in february (deep summer down here in Australia) the sun is setting, creating silhouettes of the industrial west - I take this shot a lot, I take this shot a lot in February, it never cease to impress me.
2020
I fact two years later and here I am again to point that camera West again and a little further south, the power pole has moved from mid shot to the right hand side, and we have a ferris wheel, it's still there but it doesn't move anymore, but the sky is still impressive.
And that my friends was my life on the 9th of February but not from today
A big applause for 2016, my favorite shot here! 📷💯

The last photo I loved, that threshold between sunset and evening with very beautiful gradient tones.
