The Guesthouse in Djerba Island

What do you look for in a place to stay - sometimes it's locations, sometimes it's luxury - sometimes it's quirkiness. This place - Dar Elbidha On Djerba island, certainly had a couple of these, yeah maybe it wasn't particularly luxurious, it was more of a traditional Berber style bed and breakfast, but it did have everything else.

It was quite literally steps from the sea - that is our room - the circular thing on the right, waking up to the sounds of people swimming at the beach was quite lovely, even if it was a little early.

There it is again, this time with our room on the left.

Or if you want a longer viewm you can see that the guesthouse sets on a tiny peninsula, this is the other side. you get a sense here of the 10 or so rooms that are scattered around the place, with a small pool and courtyard where we ate our meals in the centre and a rooftop to go up to watch the sunset and drink tea - how good was the sunset? Well you can find out in this Post
