If you have watched a lot of MASH you might be aware of the term the 38th Parallel - it is the approximate border between North and South Korea. The cease-fire line of the Korean War roughly followed the 38th parallel, and the country remains divided along that line today.
But what does that have to do with Italy, and in particular the north coast of Sicily, well that is also (approximately) the 38th Parallel and there is a monument there which marks that spot.
It is a 30m high hollow pyramid made of Corten steel, you know that type of self-rusting steel that was on every second house on Grand Designs in the early series.
This Pyramid doesn't make the border of two countries but rather it's on a very big hill and overlooks a valley and a highway, and I guess the North Coast of Sicily.
It's all back of the Fiumara d'Arte outdoor sculpture museum which is spread over about 60km in Northern Sicily. This piece is by Mauro Staccioli
Wow the beauty of the scenery is very amazing, I saw some very amazing photos, very interesting natural beauty, amazing photography ❤️
