Glittery tears

Shot with Fuji X-T5, Fujinon 50mm f/1.0

I've been playing around with makeup, lights, and photography in general to be more familiar with the products I have and to get ideas on how to use them as well. A lot of times I film makeup looks without planning specifically what look I would want to so I'd usually end up taking more time than expected, and of course the video files takes a BIG chunk of my storage haha. So having a "rehearsal" makeup helps a lot with saving time before the final one to be filmed plus it also gives me an opportunity to experiment without worrying about someone watching me as how I feel like when filming something. (Which I also want to be comfortable about).

In the recent makeup accounts that I have made that are more into short makeup videos, I am still exploring what niche I would like better. If it's the "everyday" makeup content that's leaning more into an influencer kinda thing or into a more creative makeup with fun video transitions and those you can consider "not everyday" look. I think I'd go more with the latter although I would still want to do "everyday" makeups now and then.

I have this idea of a crying angel makeup look using Judydoll liquid eyeshadow just because the glitter eyeshadow is so shimmery it gives a really nice wet look. :D Capturing glitters on camera is quite tricky and although I didn't really set up the lights for that, you can still see them on the pics.

This lighting is for uhhh "normal" beauty lighting. Ideally, I would want to have a reflector under my chin so the shadows would be less harsh but yeah it is good enough that you would be able to see the makeup properly in its most accurate color.

I'm using Olens Nella Ash Gray contact lenses and they look so good when light hits that's why I have a lot of those shots just looking above haha and it's also for the glitters to show more.

The lenses are more blue when worn even though it should be gray that's why I edited the color a bit to be less saturated.

I really love how Fuji 50m f/1 just gives a really nice blur. Although sometimes you can miss a good focus when using f/1, a lot of times when you hit the proper area, it just gives like a magical vibe to me. The blurness doesn't look fake even though at f/1 it is veryyyy blurred while the focused ones are veryyyy sharp.

Anyway, I was using only one light source this time but with different lights position this would look so much better and dramatic so that will be done next time. :D

I am really tempted to buy a new camera. Will search Fuji cameras but first, I need to get some funds for a new camera. haha. for photography business purposes.

Go check on Fuji and also other cameras like Sony as well. I’ve read somewhere that Sony’s autofocus is still way ahead of Fuji’s so you might want to consider that if you’re going to use it for business. And maybe Sony’s mobile app (so you can connect and use phone as a remote or viewing tool) is superior but I didn’t really check on it more since I’m deep into Fuji hahah but yeah Fuji’s mobile app isn’t that great huhu

Oh, I see. Will try to do more research about it. Thanks.

The lenses have very natural and mystical look to them which compliments the makeup effect very well. I like the settings you played around with and you captured some very beautiful shots! Thanks for sharing them with us here in the community!

Indeed!! I can really see a big difference when using this vs the other lenses. Thank you!

At first I thought they were real tears, but they turned out to be artificial. But the makeup is really cool👍💥

Yeah the glitters really make it look like it's wet. Pretty awesome tbh :D

yeah right that's awesome.

Yes cool make-up art looks so natural like real tears 👍👏

Even cooler that all I did was put the glitter eyeshadow! I didn't have to do anything else for the tears, very low effort haha

Yep, you really should go with the creative makeup thing as first choice, you have just the face and disposition for it 😃.

Nice photography skills, though, by the way.

It is a new area to explore. Despite me knowing how to paint on canvas, I've never really painted faces with the creative looks. Thank you!

I love everything about this. The pictures look amazing and the make up is so nice! Everything combined gives a magical aura

Thank you! 💗

What a creative photo shoot!! i really looks incredible, i loved what you did with the f/1

Blue eyes, nothing but blue eyes!! Okay, okay, I know you don't really have blue eyes and these are lenses but - you look very pretty with them. Nice change. The glittery tears are interesting, make for a good fantasy make up, too.

Keep those photoshoots coming - if you do maybe I'll finally get back into photography again too. I've read some other's posts as well and felt a certain itch but - not quite there.
