Capturing the Details of a Blue Fly

Ever since I got the reverse ring, I was looking for a dead body for the camera. Dead body of a fly, ant or any small insect. It took me about 2 weeks to do this search. I used to look at my balcony every day to see if I would get something today, but every time I had to return empty handed. Am I sounding like a psycho type with my words and expressions?

Well today I found a blue colored fly in perfect condition in the balcony. I immediately took out my camera and decided to do a proper shoot today. Set the camera on a small tripod and started it in the balcony itself. Since the control over the aperture is lost with the reverse ring, I set the camera in such a position that the hassle of moving back and forth is eliminated.

The results of the first 2 photos were not so amazing because the camera was shaking when I clicked the shutter button, due to which the photos were getting slightly blurred. To solve this problem, I used a timer which gave good results. ISO was kept at 400 and shutter speed was kept between 300 to 400 so that grains do not appear in the photo.

After clicking 15-16 photos, I copied all the photos to the laptop and opened Lightroom. In Lightroom, I cropped all the photos a bit, adjusted the light a bit, reduced the grain a bit and exported the photos with watermarks. Not all results were that great after photo processing. I am still learning how to use the reverse ring and hope to develop my skills soon.

The photos are in front of you and you must have seen them by now. I can only hope that you liked it. And if you really like it and you know how to use the reverse ring, then I will really wait for your feedback. Now I will leave because I have to prepare lunch. See you in another post where I will again say some nonsense and try to irritate you.

The photos are great! But all the evidence is against you ;)

Thank you but I didn't get the evidence part.

Lovely pictures mate...
Although looking for a dead insect as a muse is a rather odd preference 😂😂😂

Thank for words. And yeah it was a weird feeling with insect dead body.
