Rays, clouds and me

Although all the photos in today's post are of sunset, but let me tell you a few things about today. Yesterday there was news in the newspaper that there will be snowfall on the high mountains and there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in the lower areas. According to the report released by the Meteorological Department, everything went well and the weather remained cloudy all day yesterday and when I woke up this morning, it was raining outside.

Early, the rain since morning has cooled the temperature a bit, if I talk about the current temperature, then the temperature is 10 degrees. And if I talk about high mountains, then there has been fresh snowfall in the village of my friend @naveen.jogta who lives in Narkanda hill station of Himachal Pradesh. When I saw Naveen's status on WhatsApp, I felt very jealous.

If only Naveen lived in my periphery or within 100-150 kms, I would have gone to his house every weekend. Even today I miss the 2 weeks I spent at Naveen's house 2 years ago. It was winter time then and my eyes were yearning for snowfall but it did not snow during that time.

Today's photos have been clicked from the roof of my house. When the sunset is good, my camera in hand along with a coffee mug suits me. Clouds are moving from one place to another. Humans cannot understand the language of clouds, otherwise I would not have been able to tell in which direction they are migrating. The clouds that have turned pink due to sunset may be jogging on their way singing a romantic song, who knows.

I tried long exposure with Sony a7iii but it did not work because I do not have an ND filter. Some experiments were done by placing the camera on the roof wall which were successful to a large extent but the dust particles on the camera lens played a very important role in spoiling the results. You can also see the results in the photos which look much worse than actual views.
