Now let's look at the details of the interior of the fort.
The fort currently houses several government institutions, tourist hotels and two national schools.

This photo shows the building that was used as a hospital during Dutch rule. A supermarket is currently operating here. It is also known as the Dutch Hospital Supermarket. This supermarket is run by the Sri Lankan government.
