Oxyopes salticus is a species of lynx spider, commonly known as the striped lynx spider, first described by Hentz in 1845. Its habitat tends to be grasses and leafy vegetation; grassy, weedy fields, and row crops. wikipedia
These spiders do not build nests, or form webs, but prefer to rely on speed to hunt prey.
The United States and Brazil are far from Indonesia. However, while exploring Rayap Waterfall (North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, Indonesia), I came across a spider of the Oxyopes Salticus species, which happens to live in the leaves. Its unique shape and I have never seen it before made me interested in photographing spider sightings.
I was looking for references about unique spiders that I found. In the end, I concluded that the spiders I encountered had the same physical characteristics as the Oxyopes Salticus spider, and that their habitats ranged from the United States to Brazil.
I wonder what causes these spiders to be around the Rayap waterfall? And how do these spiders spread?
Even so, I am very amazed by the beauty of God's creation, the Creator who has created small creatures but has a beauty that fascinates the eyes. Here I attach some photos that I took using the VIVO V7 smart phone camera + macro lens:
