Darkwave or post-punk portait shoot

Gothic subculture was born not in the rock environment, as is often believed, but in post-punk. In the late 1970s, groups such as Joy Division and Magazine impressed fans with unusual lyrics, and most importantly, appearance - piercings, hair in an artistic mess or mohawks, pale skin, thickly lined black eyes, fishnet sleeves, total-black in clothes Fans who began to copy the look of idols were first called dark punks, but later renamed to goths.

The main features of this style are the always relevant total-black, which is realized with the help of expensive materials and decorations. In addition, High Gothic finds expression in:

  • exquisitely clear silhouette;
  • silver ("moon") jewelry;
  • noir aesthetics and symbolism of death;
  • a large number of fittings and belts;
  • combination of textures (latex and tulle, velvet and leather);
  • dramatic make-up with emphasis on eyes and lips.

Total-black can be "diluted" with such colors as red, purple, blue. Tartan (scotch check) is sometimes used. In addition, Goths dye their hair in rich shades - red, red, black, purple, blue, or decorate their hair with colored strands.
