RE: GoPro Photography - My Experience of Using GoPro for Photography Only.

in Photography Lovers • 3 years ago (edited)

I use Go Pro for our underwater adventures. I never bothered to check whether its in RAW format. 😱 My eyes were wide when I read that part on your blog. Silly me. But that is true, the upgraded versions of go pro now are performing better in terms of video and photo!

Oh, I never really quite got into using Lightroom since I grew up studying Adobe Photoshop in school and that stuck with me although a lot of people keep saying to just use Lightroom instead.

I always wanted to learn Photoshop other than its basics, to get my images to another level, but always I was bored and impatient to do it. I did learn it in college, but for simple photographs, I always found lightroom to be easier and quicker to edit, and to use photoshop only if I need to remove something from the image :)

I wish I could take some underwater photos, although I live at the seaside, the water is always so cold here xD. Yes, it was really nice to use my old GoPro photography, and now that I think about it, I may consider going for a GoPro Hero 10, both for photography and video creation, because I am planning some big trips this summer;

Ever since I have been doing photography, I have been shooting in RAW. This means every image I have, does need to go through either Lightroom or Photoshop for basic post-processing, or even if I don't post-process the picture, at least for conversion to JPEG. But having an image in RAW, I can edit if I want to a whole another level, thing which is never possible if shooting in JPEG. It's a huge difference of what RAW images can do, and I do recommend anyone to shoot in RAW unless it specifically doesn't work in Photoshop or Lightroom or any post-processing software at all.

I really appreciate your comment. Thank you, and I hope to see you around.
Wishing you all the best,

Same as you, I'm planning on purchasing the Go Pro Hero 10 but I'm a bit reluctant because of some negative reviews where it overheats and sometimes stops functioning all of a sudden. The still needs a lot of improvement when it comes to those factors. Although it's I'm all for its HyperSmooth 4.0! Videos are way more stabilized.

I'm definitely making sure to switch to RAW formats for my photography collection. Thanks for your input. Looking out for your next blogs.
