Montalbán is my town and the streets of this town are “my streets” that's how I feel since I was a little boy and played with my schoolmates in them. And since I've been taking street photographs, my belonging feeling about these streets is even bigger... They are simple streets, you often have to observe them very well to understand them, you have to scrutinize them consciously to extract their meanings and stories... This is how I love these streets and their daily scenes... I invite you to go ahead and look a little more of my “favorite photographic territory” in this post, I'm sure you'll enjoy it...
Montalbán es mi pueblo y las calles de este pueblo son "mis calles" así lo siento desde que era un chiquillo y jugaba con mis compañeros de escuela en ellas. Y desde que hago fotografías callejeras, mi sentimiento de pertenencia sobre estas calles es aún mayor... Son calles simples, con frecuencia hay que observarlas muy bien para poder entenderlas, hay que escrutarlas de forma consciente para extraer sus significados e historias... Es así como amo estas calles y sus escenas cotidianas... Les invito a seguir adelante y mirar un poco más de mi "coto fotográfico favorito" en este post, estoy seguro de que lo disfrutarán...

The photos with which I am building this publication are in color. In general, my street photos usually end up in black and white due to my preference for the monochromatic scheme for this type of work. However, from time to time, colors are a necessary part of the photo's concept and that's when I decide to leave them in peace and allow them to be an active part of my expression exercises. I don't know if this happens to all photographers, but for me the moment of processing and editing my photos is as fascinating as the moment I capture them... It is while processing (usually from RAW) when I talk to the photo, I understand it in a calmer way and I end up giving it the character I want...
Las fotos con las cuales estoy construyendo esta publicación son a colores. Por lo general mis fotos callejeras suelen terminar viradas al blanco y negro debido a mi preferencia por el esquema monocromático para este tipo de trabajos. Sin embargo, de ves en cuando, los colores son una parte necesaria en el concepto de la foto y es allí cuando decido dejarlos en paz y permitir que forman parte activa de mis ejercicios de expresión. No sé si esto le suceda a todos los fotógrafos les suceda lo mismo, pero para mi el momento del procesado y edición de mis fotos, es algo tan fascinante como el momento cuando las capturo... Es mientras proceso (por lo general desde los RAW) cuando hablo con la foto, la entiendo de manera más calma y termino por entregar a ella el carácter que deseo...

My photography is something more or less “handmade” considering the times we are living in... I've been using the same camera for 12 years, I always shoot in RAW and I work on the photos in the most elementary way possible. In fact, last week I bought a new PC and a new monitor (I finally got to Windows 11, it was about time) but instead of spending on new software, I simply installed my “also very old” Photoshop and the other applications I have been using for many years... When it comes to working on my photos, I like to go slow, like “painting by hand”... I'll have to invent something to take advantage of my new Ryzen 5 processor and my 16 GB of RAM, because I haven't even used a third of its resources! hahaha :))... We'll see what I use them for!... ;)
Mi fotografía es algo más o menos "artesanal" para los tiempos que estamos viviendo... Uso la misma cámara desde hace 12 años, fotografío siempre en RAW y trabajo sobre las fotos de la manera más elemental posible. De hecho, la semana pasada compré un nuevo PC y un nuevo Monitor (finalmente llegué a Windows 11, ya era hora) pero en lugar de gastar en nuevo software, simplemente instalé mi "también muy viejo" Photoshop y las otras aplicaciones las cuales uso desde hace muchos años... Tratándose de trabajar sobre mis fotos, me gusta ir lento, como "pintando a mano"... ¡Tendré que inventar alguna cosa para sacar provecho de mi nuevo procesador Ryzen 5 y mis 16 GB de RAM, porque no llegado a usar siquiera un tercio de sus recursos! hahaha :))... ¡Ya veremos en que los uso!... ;)

The captions on my photos simply come to me when I capture them or when I am editing them. This is perhaps one of the advantages of knowing these streets inch by inch... I can put names and surnames to each one of the images which I steal from the eternal running of time...
Los títulos de mis fotos simplemente vienen a mi cuando las capturo o cuando las estoy editando. Esta es quizás una de las ventajas de conocer palmo a palmo estas calles... Puedo poner nombres y apellidos a cada una de las imágenes que robo al eterno correr del tiempo...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.
