Geez, it's true, street photography can be a bit intimidating at first... It's all a matter of gradually going with it and trying to do it always in the same places and streets, that makes people know you and are more open to be photographed... Which obviously leads to better photos...
I particularly have two things in my favor:
I was born here and I have been taking photos for many years in these streets, everyone knows me.
Most people think I'm crazy and don't pay much attention to me!!!!... haaaa haaa haaa :)) (they may be right, and that works for me)... 😂😂😂
