I think you have a lot of (fun) work ahead of you in that "small private forest reserve" !!!... Excellent post, you will surely end up leaving more plants than you thought, in those gardens that have grown like this, you can get some lovely botanical jewels!... By the way, here in my country ivy is cultivated as an ornamental plant!!!! hahaha! :))... And very difficult to keep alive!... That's life!...

We'll need to hire a garden architect to see how to approach it in the best way as I wouldn't know where to start. I'm really not so much into ornamental plants. I would rather plant wild flowers, some berry shrubs and lots of various herbs, but we'll see how it will go. First, we have to renovate the house so that we can move in 😊

Oh, ivy is such a hardy plant here. I'm sure that if I would burn it down it would still come back and much stronger than it was before 😂 They grow so fast and cover everything what comes in their way. I saw some videos of houses that had ivy all over façade and when they tried to remove it the entire facade fell down with ivy 😂
