In the last few weeks I've been dealing well with street colors. The natural light here in my town is generous during these dry months and that makes the colors pop a little more in the often faded streets.... But beyond the chromatic theme, I think this also has with my usual ease to change my mind about almost anything. So, in my most recent street excursions I am encountering the chromatic aspect of things face to face and this leads me to understand it as an element which generates relevance in the frame. I talk about colors with a certain drama, anarchic combinations of primary tones with other more saturation leaner ones and the percentage that each one of them occupies over the different forms that participate within the registered space. So it is not surprising that, after being usual for people in my town to see me talking with cats, dogs, windows and even poles in the streets, now they are also forced to see me talking with “colors” 😆... Anyway, this street photography thing is getting better and better. So I invite you to enjoy this series with 18 recent pictures where color has a marked protagonism. I know you will enjoy it...
Durante estas últimas semanas me la he estado llevando bien con los colores callejeros. La luz natural aquí en mi pueblo es generosa durante estos meses de sequía y eso hace que los colores resalten un poco más en las frecuentemente descoloridas calles... Pero más allá del tema cromático, creo que esto también tiene con mi habitual facilidad para cambiar de parecer con respecto a casi cualquier cosa. Entonces, en mis más recientes excusiones callejeras estoy encontrándome con el aspecto cromático de las cosas frente a frente y esto me dirige a entenderlo como un elemento que genera relevancia en el fotograma. Me refiero a colores con cierto drama, a combinaciones anárquicas de tonos primarios con otros más magros de saturación y al porcentaje que cada uno de ellos ocupa sobre las distintas formas que participan dentro del espacio registrado. Así que no es de extrañarse que, después de ser habitual para la gente en mi pueblo verme conversar con gatos, perros, ventanas y hasta postes en las calles, ahora también se vean obligados a verme hablar con "colores" 😆... En fin, esto de hacer fotografías en las calles se pone cada vez mejor. Así que les invito a disfrutar de esta serie con 18 fotografías recientes en donde el color tiene un marcado protagonismo. Sé que lo disfrutarán...

This kind of photos can be taken every day, I know... I also know that they can happen in relatively large spaces like a wall, a square or the edge of a street... But it's also fascinating to find these photos in more punctual, I mean “reduced” things like a handful of letters on the surface of an old rusty lamp post with deteriorated paint or even the fabulous display of color, light eloquence and expression of a rooster singing when just escaped from a backyard to wander in the street... I suppose that in every city and in every town one can find a very significant diversity for those who like to take street photos. But not because of this “supposition” do I stop thinking that my streets in Montalbán have something that seems to conspire for one to take photos... Or maybe it's me, I'm really crazy and I see things to photograph in everything?... I don't know, I really have no idea, but this is certainly something funny... 😀
Este tipo de fotos se pueden hacer a diario, lo sé... También sé que pueden ocurrir en espacios relativamente amplios como una pared, una plaza o la orilla de una calle... Pero también es fascinante encontrar estas fotos en cosas más puntuales, quiero decir "reducidas" como un puñado de letras sobre la superficie de un viejo poste de alumbrado oxidado y con pintura deteriorada o incluso el fabuloso despliegue de color, elocuencia lumínica y expresión de un gallo cantando cuando se acaba de escapar de un patio trasero para deambular en la calle... Yo supongo que en toda ciudad y en todo pueblo uno puede encontrar una diversidad muy significativa para quien guste de hacer fotos callejeras. Pero no por ese "suponer" dejo de pensar que mis calles en Montalbán tienen algo que parece conspirar para que uno haga fotos... ¿O acaso seré yo, que estoy rematadamente loco y veo cosas para fotografiar en todo?... No sé, la verdad no tengo idea, pero esto es algo ciertamente divertido... 😃

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.
