RE: Roadtrip random photos.

Earlier years nothing beat a Sunday drive out, picnic somewhere along the road and return journey, mountains are captivating no matter which angle you see.

Farming or building homes higher up the mountains slopes is a concern! Hope the fires are coming under control again.

Only thing that we do differently is no picnic next to the roads, as too dangerous.

The problem is in the nature reserves, as we had heavy rains last winter, and they are all covered in lush new growth. that forms a perfect bed for the fires chased by the winds.
A couple that lived in a nice house in one of the reserves, only have their parrot, their two dogs and a file of papers left in life, as their house and their car is no more.

Sad so many lose homes, summer wild fires run amok, winter close living quarters fires through attempt to keep warm.

Yep, a really sad story, and thousands of hectares are now black and scorched. Winter is another problem indeed, especially in the confined spaces between the shacks, and if one shack catches alight, it can easily destroy 200-300 shacks. The same thing with the floods, and it's high time for the people to get decent houses.

Housing should have been first on the agenda years ago, I feel for the people who live under conditions subjected to.

Oh yes, a lack of planning, but with people streaming into the province, it's difficult to keep up with the demand.

Always a negative backlash.

To be expected, as not a surprise anymore.
