I try avoid direct skin contact with these sprays, mozzie bites swell and make me feel off directly after a bite, hate the bloody little pests....

Yep! Mozzies are indeed a big battle, but then again, just so are a black ant invasion.
Ants you are able to find nest drop a bit of borax power into or other methods to disperse, mozzie simply always buzzing around waiting to take their bite.
There are many ant nests around the house, and they have even hollowed out some sections below the paving, causing the paving to sink down. We have just started with a spraying regimen, but it's going to be a long battle to get them off the property.
Always having to watch nature, paving is a problem, we used to pour old car engine oil down before learning how damaging this is to the ground, having termites does not help.
I will have to lift some sections of the paving that sunk in and then sift the sand. Refill the hole and tamp it down. Then a layer of course salt on top will do the trick. Old car oil is out of the question, and thankfully we have no termites here.
Always depends on what you dealing with, salt, spirit vinegar both great to fall back on, too many regulations around, far too expensive in any case.
They reckon that coarse salt works the best.
