It has been fulfilling and, at times, leaves me feeling amazed that I am seeing the places in New Zealand that I used to watch on YouTube now that I am actually in the country.
Amongst all the videos I've watched about New Zealand π³πΏ, Milford Sound in the South Island books to be unbelievably beautiful to me, and when I finally moved to New Zealand, I immediately put Milford Sound on my bucket list.
My job gets me around quite a lot but the chances of the job taking me to Milford Sound is low and even if it does, it will be a rush to view and take photos πΈ which isn't what a place like Milford Sound is for.
As the end of last year approaches, my friend and I decided to visit Milford Sound.
It is 9hr:30 minutes drive from Christchurch so what we did is sleep at hotel accommodations along the way, do some hiking and continue to Milford Sound and back to Christchurch so it took us four days π.
These are photos of our arrival, the beauty of this place is unbelievable. I saw someone share photos of Milford Sound on Facebook, and someone else commented it is AI π.
I honestly can't blame the person who thinks it is AI. I think God was showing off creating such a beauty β¨οΈ.

Absolutely gorgeous, sadly not untouched. Seeing too many cruising the idea it so walk, hike absorbing in sights and sound, yes a bit of discomfort to the rich and lazy that simply cruise polluting waterways.
Walkways to protect the ground from erosion always a great idea, now to sit quietly watching imagining what it looked like before man arrived, especially tourists.
Beauty must have been totally overwhelming!

There are lots of hiking tracks π£ there. We only did the cruise which is very much worth it.
Next time I go there, I will definitely do the walks, though it will mean more days there probably. The place is remote and far so activities needs to be well planned.
Photos don't do justice the beauty of Milford Sound to say the least.

Hiking in I believe takes an enormous amount of planning, best to see it from a cruise this will give you a good idea of challenges you may face when hiking the route in.
