I am still contemplating about doing on of the great walks of New Zealand 🇳🇿, the walks are about 3 to 4 days from a brief look about them online and they ranges from +30km, so I will see about that as I convince myself to do it.
While still contemplating about one of the great walks, the Alpine Nature Walk at Lewis Pass needs no contemplating, as it has become my favorite walk which is just a 5 minutes walk, it is now the third time I have stopped there for a refreshing walk before continuing with my drive to Christchurch.
The views on this day were cloudy, misty, and wet with drizzles of rain 🌧, a beautiful scenery worth photographing.

Even though it was cloudy and foggy, the view was still amazing, and the atmosphere felt even more magical.
It truly was an amazing atmosphere out there in nature. I like and enjoy the brief walk.

I know you would like and stop there often too. Each time I drive past there i like to stop it's so beautiful the views.
There are huts 🛖 along the greatest walks of New Zealand, I am trying to find out which one has shower, warm of course then I am up for it. I can't put myself through a cold bath in any of the rivers or lakes along the track. I will keep searching for a suitable one for me. There are 11 great walks in NZ, I really should do one of them at least.

Like in other countries… those huts or cabins on hiking trails are very basic and I am afraid you won’t find much comfort like a shower but you find a spot to sleep. Or you stay in an airbnb / hotel like place.
Nothing wrong with a wash in a river hahaha 🤣

Lol, nothing wrong but I will freeze with the cold water. So you know throughout summer I was wearing 2-3 layers. The days I wore one layer are not much all through summer and now we are in autumn.
And remember I am African, I get cold quicker compared to the Whites 🤣
I so understand. It takes a while to get accustomed to a new climate. It takes me a while here too with the cold.
Maybe you get more used to it in the coming years. Just layer up… and you can always adjust throughout the day. 😁😂
I wish for some warmth right now. It is still proper winter here.

Maybe I will adapt better in years to come, am truly keen on one of the great walks.
Your part of the world is so too cold. Is it supposed to be winter season there now or winter just forcing itself on you guys?

The nordics do have 7 months of winter ❄️ I hope in May it changes to spring.
