Did I say 2023 or 2032? I can't remember 🤣 !LOLZ

No, this time I didn't go to bed ... I went home, had a coffee with my wife and then I surprised myself and left towards the north.
I have been driving for a few hundred kilometers through heavy snow storms with quite some snow on the roads. It was fun driving on the slippery snow but I also was happy that I didn't have to turn around or put the snow chains on the wheels.
The only problem was that there was not a single chance to park somewhere because all parking spaces were full of snow: the snow plows pushed all the snow onto the parking lots. These are only cleared of snow when the roads are free from snow, and even then only the most important ones.
So I just enjoyed the journey driving in the snow 😀❄️

In the afternoon I was working a bit on my van: I built a little sideboard for the power bank and the electric cables and other little things and in the evening I was too tired to turn the computer on.

It's Monday evening - I hope you've been talking to them and now the costs are no problem anymore 🙏

I suppose that you were driving in the van? How is it coping with the snow?
At times one cannot take photos and you are so lucky to feast your eyes on all of the snow. I seem to remember that you were waiting impatiently for the snow and now you have had a lesson by lady Patience, as there are now finally plenty of snow around 🤣

So you did a bit of work on the van and then you were tired. Now this sounds to me typical of a mountain goat 🤣

Nope, nothing yet and we have left two messages for the doctor to call me. But as you know, I have a lot of patience 🙏

I'm very sure it was 2032 🤥, but I will try to do it earlier and maybe even in 2023, who knows 😉 !LOLZ

The van was driving fine, but the winter tires are not the best anymore, so I really was happy after each slope or pass 😀
The snow is still there and by now there will be some parking lots along the road, I believe 😀 Maybe I'll try give it another try on Saturday, because on Sunday I'll be at work.

My father is a carpenter who can make anything from wood, but when I make something from wood you wouldn't believe that he's my father because it always looks far from good 😂 but it works (almost) as it should work 👍

You're so patient, my friend, and since a day has gone by since you wrote that, I hope that you have got some good new for me 🙏

Great to hear that the van can cope with the snow and it was a good buy my friend. Although I am a bit worried about the worn winter tires, as you may slip on one of those high passes. God forbid.
So maybe you should make their replacement a priority 😉
You may get lucky on Saturday to find a nice spot and then you can take many photos until you are tired.
Then you can sleep the tiredness away at work on Sunday 😜

Your father was a tradesman and you are a policeman, so yes, you have a perfect excuse for not being able to do the perfect work that your father did. Just don't stick the wood together with bubble gum, as it will only last for a week 🤣

Thank you for the compliment, but I am just an ordinary simple man my friend. I also hope that I can give you some good news every day, but the things are out of my hands and I depend only on the Lord.

Once I photographed a hoverfly in flight, but that was more a coincidence than an intentional shot 😂 !LOLZ
But you never know and I want to see you reyes when I send you a similar beautiful photo as yours 😉

Oh yes, the van is a good car, but the driver isn't bad either 😂 Here we learn how to drive in winter, at least when you grow up in the countryside. The tires are not too worn, but not fresh anymore either 😀

Hopefully Saturday will be a successful photography day, thanks for your good wishes 😊

I'm always making the best plans for the things I want to build, but the results are mostly not looking like the sketches I made 😂

You're a good man, my friend, and that's way more than me and other ordinary simple men 👍

Oh yes, I have full confidence that you can do it 😉

Now I have never said that you are a bad driver and I don't know what's wrong lately, as everybody takes me up wrongly. Of course you will have much experience in snow driving and I think that when you enter a desert race, you will turn out to be a champion, as the drivers know how to drive in slippery conditions. It is just a wee bit hotter in the desert that in the snow 🤣

They say that when you make your plans, then life happens and it is so true. So don't feel too bad, as you were never a trained artisan 😉

Thank you for the compliment, but I don't see myself as a good man, and the trick is to remain humble. Sadly there are times when one has to defend against attacks and my way is to rather walk away from it, as life is too short. Especially at my age 😊
You are definitely not an ordinary man!

Haha, I didn't get you wrong, I just meant that even the best car is only as good as it's driver 😉
At least in a desert I would not need snow chains 🤣

Nope, I won't feel bad because I am used to failed plans, but even if the weather is bad I'll enjoy the time in nature after a week starring on the computer monitors at work 😀

You know that I and all others think of you as a good man, my friend, and you're doing the right thing by avoiding attacks and violence.

Time will tell about my certainty and don't underestimate yourself, as you know that you can do it 😉

The desert is a treacherous place for drives, as in some areas the sand has a dry crust, but as soon as a car puts weight on it, the crust slips away revealing the soft and deep sand below it. So you are right that you won't need snow chains, but you will need a phone to call for help when your car is sunk up to its belly in the soft sand 🤣 !LOLZ

Oh yes, computer monitors have no real joy in them, and things are so much more interesting in nature.
A wise choice my friend 😉

Friday has gone fairly well and we stayed at home, we were most of the time in our small garden and I got an amazing display of wasps and dwarf geckos that I will post soon.
Hope that your Friday was also good.
