Wow for picture one, wow for picture two and another wow for picture three. If I had to live there, I would forever be driving around in the mountains, same like you do ๐๐ฎ๐ !LOLZ
After the hospital today we went to a camera shop in the same area as we don't have these shops over here. I had to get two new batteries for my camera. We chatted to the salesman, a very knowledgeable chap and he had some bad news for me. He said that he doesn't think that Canon will make a new SX8OHS, as the phones are becoming more popular and not many people are interested in ultra zoom power anymore. Everyone seems to go for phones now.
Then he showed me a new Nikon camera with a zoom of 25-2000, but it is way too expensive for me.
So my SX70HS might be the last camera in the Canon range. What a pity.
You can even take better photos than mine with your phone, but I am a schmuck with a phone camera and that's why I don't have a phone ๐ !LOLZ
That's true, more and more photos are made by phone these days and the phone cameras are getting better and better. My daughter's phone has a Leica system and I am curious about the images it produces. Maybe I'll test it when I see her next time ... if they turn out good I might swap to a phone and have 10 kilos less in my backpack ... maybe I will not need a backpack anymore anyway ... ๐ !LOLZ
A 2000mm zoom would be awesome, but if there was such a lens for my camera it would cost more than a car, I believe.
Thanks, my friend, and have a wonderful day ๐๐

I think that her phone would take great photos, as the guy at the Canon shop showed me some beautiful photos that were taken with phones. Maybe the days of cameras are numbered and that would be sad, as I have so much fun with mine. You are right about not needing a backpack as a phone can fit into a pocket, but I think that like me, you would rather continue with your camera. We were just made that way ๐คฃ !LOLZ
Yes, it would definitely cost a bomb for a separate 2000 zoom lens, but the Nikon that he showed me is the same as my single fixed lens camera. It works the same as the zoom is extended on a tracking carriage.
As long as the sensor size is as small as it is in the phones, there will always be big cameras too, I believe. The phone photos look good on the phone or even on big computer monitors, but when you want to print them in large formats, it will not work.
So, of course I will keep my camera, because if I had more space in my backpack, I would only fill it with other stuff like food or water. That might even be heavier than the camera ๐ !LOLZ
... and it's just a better feeling to take photos with a camera, as you know yourself.
So you might switch from Canon to Nikon one day? I have never used a Nikon, but I have heard they should take good pictures too ... not as good as Canon though ๐

Yes, I think that you are right, as it might be the pixels that matter. The problem is that I can only hope that my camera will last. If you had to stack your backpack with food, you would grow round like a ball and you will roll off the mountains when you go hiking ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ !LOLZ
Yes, I do know as a camera sits lovely in the hand and a phone would be like waving a little note book around ๐
Nope, no Nikon for me as even a used one is too expensive. I like you are a Canon man and I will treat my Canon like a baby. Pity that they don't seem to last for longer than 8 years, as my camera works overtime most days ๐

Shalom and cheers.
These were only phone photos, but sometimes I think they are better than the ones I take with the big camera - thanks a million, my friend ๐ !LOLZ
