I always know it's a possibility but it's still shocking when it happens. We have been having a very nice tease of spring with some warm sunny days. I checked the forecast yesterday and it said we would have some flurries with no accumulation.
Well I woke up this morning and it was snowing pretty steady and already had maybe 5cm.
I went out to shovel because usually this time of year it turns to rain and gets very heavy.
It just keeps going and I had to shovel a second time, but it seems to be settling now.
I guess I will enjoy the beauty of what is hopefully the last snow of the year.
Unfortunately it weighed down the netting of my gardens pretty bad and I will likely need to do some repairs once it's melted.

that are the joyous moments of living in a 'temperate' zone. Got similar reports from my family in Canada. Also my sister in the Austrian countryside is complaining. Myself, in Vienna, it got decidedly cooler, but no snow. And yet I remember that by end of April, we would go swimming!
for sure this time of year is a total gamble :)
What a pity the gardens are going to be damaged, although the photos with the snow look amazing... but what a pity the garden....
It's not too hard to fix thankfully more of an annoyance :)

The same happened in Romania. Crazy how one day you have 22° C and it's sunny outside, then the next day you get -15° C and rain and storm!
ugh yeah very frustrating, hoping you get sunny days soon too!
Had a better day yesterday, let's hope the winter is finally over and we can take advantage of these sunny days properly!

It looks like winter arrived late in the east, but now it doesn't want to leave. Flowers are already in full bloom in the west coast, but this rain doesn't stop 🌧😕

im in south america but i see photos from home from people on instagram and it is still gray and brown, at least the snow looks cool. but yeah after going on 6 months of winter it really does drag. human need warm fresh air and sun

The latest we ever had snow is May but it's very rare, crossing my fingers for all of us enough winter!

Snow in April. This is a wonderful and very relevant headline for me. Today the weather is changing alternately, one hour the sun is shining, and the next the sky becomes dark and snow is falling, which was not there in winter. I feel sorry for my flowers and plants, but this is nature ))
I feel you, yesterday we have some sun and warm weather and I sat on the patio and even got our patio furniture out lol!
