Hey Everyone!!
It was weekend today, I had one of those spontaneous outings that turned out to be utterly delightful. It started with a simple plan to grab some delicious Paneer Kulcha, and it ended with a mesmerizing sunset by the dam.
The evening began with a visit to a well-known restaurant about 15 km from home, where they serve the most amazing Paneer Kulcha. For those unfamiliar, Paneer Kulcha is a soft chapati stuffed with seasoned, mashed paneer and served with curd and spicy chole. The flavor was so divine that I’m already planning my next trip back! The whole trip took about two hours, including the drive.
With some extra time to spare, I decided to visit a nearby dam, around 10 km away from my area. The dam is located away from the city’s hustle and bustle, and the peaceful surroundings make it the perfect getaway. The place is thoughtfully designed for visitors, with cement benches lined along the flowing water, providing a serene space to sit, relax, and soak in the beauty of nature.
What truly sets this spot apart is its breathtaking view of the sunset. As the sun dipped lower into the horizon, its golden hues mirrored on the flowing water, creating a dreamlike spectacle. I spent a few hours there, enjoying the cool breeze, clicking pictures, and simply taking in the view. The place also offers small snack stalls, serving tea and noodles, which add to the charm.
However, the dam’s water depth is dangerous, and going closer to it can be harmful if don't know how to swim. Despite the risks, the place remains a favorite for locals and visitors alike.
