Hi Everyone,
I’m not sure where my love for landscape photography came from but there’s something beautiful about photos showing all the natural beauty this world holds. Photos are snapshots in time.
My family in the distance overlooking the lake,
all taking it in turns to have their photo taken
with this backdrop
About 3 weeks ago, we went on a spontaneous family outing to Stourhead House & Gardens as we had a free National Trust pass. I have never been but let me tell you this place is absolutely beautiful, even though our day started off with rain, which meant we had to eat our picnic in the van, we had the perfect weather for when we walked the grounds & gardens.
The striking gate with its towers covered in red
ivy and beautiful gatehouse right next to it
The walled gardens didn’t have much to show as the weather in the UK has been very wild, one minute it’s raining and the next we are having a heatwave!

There’s a long winding path that you take down the hillside to get to the lakeside, all enclosed with trees and hedgerows. At times it felt like you were walking through a maze to get to the secret garden.
This view was so mysterious, through all the
foliage stood this beautiful building, The
Pantheon
Once we got down to the lakeside you could really appreciate the beauty of this area, it’s like a secret garden as none of this landscape can be seen when you drive towards the area nor from the car park.
The reflections off the lake make the landscape
magical
This was the view from lakeside nearing the end of our trail at Stourhead and if I say so myself it was breathtaking.
The view that captures the beauty of Stourhead
If you are a lover of landscape photography I’d highly recommend this place, as it’s definitely a photographers paradise.
Until next time, stay tuned.

I've been here, a few years ago, and quite by accident. It was a lovely place to wander around though, and your photos have brought back lovely memories of a morning spent wandering the paths and garden areas. We also stopped to watch a wedding in progress which was nice; it's a good setting for a garden wedding.

It was my first time and I was definitely taken aback by some of the views that I got to experience. That wedding must of been magical!
That was great day out, luckily we caught the last of the summer in the afternoon
We definitely had good weather for it. Minus our picnics in the car 😂
