Question about camera lenses for portraits

in Photography Lovers4 years ago (edited)

Hi all photographers! Hope you had a great Monday. Im considering buying this Canon EF 50 mm F1.8 STM lense for my camera.

The reason is that I take a lot to product photography and portrait photography at work and need a better lense for this. Anyone here has experience with this one, or have any other suggestions? (the budget is a little bit tight)

P.S: not for this camera=D

Which camera do you have?
Canon 50mm 1.8 is a classic and is good standard portrait lens. The wide aperture together with sharp images makes it a "must have" for most photographers who are looking for an affordable quality lens. At least for portraits.

Not entirely sure about product photography as it's not really my thing. The minimum focus distance might be a problem with that, but who knows :)

I think thats a good choice, especially thinking about the price for the lense is quite good and you get value for money.
