It’s about 1:30a.m. and I’m in bed. These days are just a blur some times. @guthrie and his half brother have been hanging out for a week straight, with the parents taking turns dropping them off between homes. I’ve been hitting critical mass with my stress and work on Immutable Realms, @neverwel and other @mirrorpool projects. One silver lining was stealing an hour with @roadscape at @caffetto. Catching up for the brief amount of time we could afford, and then meeting @vermillionfox for kickboxing. The rest of my night was more work, which, as usual, culminates in a blog post on the blockchain.
Tonight’s photography is from a shoot a few months ago in Los Angeles with Puerto Rican style-bending pinup, Kitti Von Page. Kitti and I have been Instagram friends for years. We talked about shooting just before the pandemic and then once lock downs began, we had to postpone our eventual collaboration together. January of 2022 was a new year and we took the opportunity once it presented itself. I was returning to Los Angeles for the first time in over a year and she flew down to meet me from Northern California.
She arrived at the Clark Gable estate with her friend and make-up artist. I gave her a walk through tour of the massive home and the estate grounds. She showed me the various outfits she brought and I immediately felt similarities to my years of shooting with @vintagevandalizm. Both women had completely out of the box taste in fashion that somehow blended distinct eras and cultures with vintage inspirations. Maybe it is the Puerto Rican creativity they both possessed, but after I mentioned it, she did tell me that they’re very good friends.
These are just a few more from the shoot and reviewing the edits I still owe, there will be at least one more set to come with Kitti Von Page. For now, I hope you enjoyed the new work. At 2:00a.m., I should be going to sleep, but I may be able to sleep in tomorrow which tells me I should revisit some more @neverwel art while I can. The nights are a blessing and a curse because everyone is asleep and I can finally concentrate, but I often pay the price with a terrible sleep schedule. Thanks for reading and have a great night!
