What’s up, Hive family? It’s about 10:00p.m. I’ve been winding down, trying to maintain an earlier bedtime with @vermillionfox. It’s been tough adjusting to being back in Minneapolis after our week visit to New York City and the east coast. I’ve been getting pulled in multiple directions, trying to chase down leads for shoots, getting bookings for Viva Las Vegas and shuttling @guthrie around to friend’s houses with his very active […perhaps too active] social life. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to get in some work hours at @caffetto, finish some editing I owe and final artwork for @neverwel and @mirrorpool.
I do have a few new images to share. First up, this shot is with my beloved friend Cindy from my last trip to Los Angeles in October of last year. She’s been coming up on what she sees as an inevitable retirement from modeling. Her priorities have changed since becoming a mother in 2020 and my trips to the west coast are less and less frequent. We went all out booking this extravagant AirBnB on top of Topanga Canyon. She bought an outrageous wardrobe set from Honey Birdette and this shot was a culmination of our efforts for a stellar final collaboration […I hope I’m wrong and there are more].
Next up, this is the most recent photo to leave Photoshop on my Mac. This new shot of @vermillionfox is from our trip to New York. I smooshed her Christmas, birthday, anniversary and Valentine’s in to one big gift. Front row seats to Moulin Rouge on Broadway. We made the 22 hour drive there and stayed in a Times Square view on the 56th floor in Midtown Manhattan. With such a stunning backdrop, how could we not take a few photos as the sun went down our final night in the city. I loved having her in front of the camera again.
Lastly, this shot is from my friend Sar from a shoot we did together in November while traveling to Chicago with @tarotbyfergus for a death match wrestling tournament. Sar and I were regular collaborators nearly a decade again. We shot mostly for Suicide Girls, then our lives diverged. She became a mom and pursued a new career. She moved around to a few different cities, and we were able to reconnect just before this trip. We managed to bang this shoot out in about 45 minutes at her hotel. There are more to come from this shoot. I can’t wait to edit the rest!

Thank you, @lunitu! Yeah. The guy that got me in to photography was a documentary photographer. I love his work, but that wasn't my path. I'm much happier shooting boudoir.
