Those pictures are beautiful. Those are actually among the best I have seen from the Louvre so far.
My worries about how packed the place would be were lifted once I saw that there weren't many people. Of course, there were some, but I was afraid it may have been overpacked. However, people never fail to amaze me with how rude some can be
As I live close to Paris, I took the opportunity to bring the family to the Louvre between two COVID waves, and early in the morning. The museum was mostly empty, which was a pleasure for us. We managed to see and walk through it without being annoyed by the crowd (which I agree with you is generally annoying and badly educated; it's like that the average IQ of the population decreases when crowds form).
Cheers, and I hope you enjoyed your stay in Paris!
Thank you very much! You're pretty lucky to live that close to Paris, but you probably must have heard that a tons of times already from all those non-Frenchies. BUT, that's quite fortunate indeed! I wish I could stay much longer to pay a visit to the actual museum. I'd probably gonna cry seeing all the Egyptian and Roman art, it's SO impressive, right? Like, the art itself obviously, but also the architecture of the museum itself. So far, I've only read about it and saw some clips online on YouTube.
Haha.. World wide IQ seems to be dropping like a shit-coin chart.
ps; you'll be @ HiveFest, thought I read it somewhere in the comment section?
The Egyptian and Roman collection is indeed very impressive (especially the sarcophagi). However, sculptures and paintings are also worth the detour. There are several self-guided tours that allow anyone to get the best shots in a few hours, which I recommend to anyone pushed for time.
Yes I will! Will you be there too?
Noice! I just won a ticket!!! so, I guess I'll see you there!
Nice nice! Then we will definitely meet! See you thus very soon in real life ^^
Cheers!
