Two colors: In battle or Hand in hand?

Inspired by a recent comment by a fellow photographer here on Hive, I have decided to share with you today a new set of photographs from one of my favorite projects of smoke and hard light in the studio.

However, this time, instead of pure Black and White, I tested coloring the shadows and the highlights with two different colors, thus adding a bit more artistic feel to the captures.

I think I like them that way, I hope you do too! :) Anyway, even if you don't, all your feedback is welcome! :)

I have to admit, that sometimes I imagine framed prints of some of these, hanging on my walls. Perhaps I have to do that and see how that fits in my home :)

These are amazing! I see a woman in the first one. I'm adding smoke pictures to my looooong list of things I want to try!

Thank you! Yes, I see the resemblance :)
That's a cool project for a rainy or a very cold day! :)

These photos are so awesome. How you get the colors like that. It's like focus on the subject for a few seconds, let the light shine through. I don't know much about shutter speed !

Hey! As for this project here I use studio strobe lights, pro grade, they have a very short light impulse, approximately 10 ms long. As there is no ambient light in the room, the shutter speed actually doesn't matter a lot. 1/60 or 1/125 would do ;)

Ah, I forgot to answer the other question - I used Lightroom to color the highlights and shadows in blue and brown ;)

The shots are beautiful. In my opinion, flow and focus should be seen a little more in the movement of smoke. Not all smoke is in focus
