Padar Island is known as the sunrise paradise in Labuan Bajo, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The island hopping tour package included a boat tour to reach the pier on Padar Island and then a short climb to the top of the hill for 30 minutes.
Me and friends climbed Padar Island starting at 4 am in the morning, it was still dark, but on the top of the hill we saw many flashlights from visitors who were climbing to reach the hill to see the sunrise. At the top of the hill, all visitors look amazed with view of the sunrise.
You just need to prepare extra physically so you don't get tired quickly when climbing hills. Apart from that, you are also advised to bring suitable footwear to avoid the risk of slipping.
Please remember for all visitors, when enjoying the sunrise, it is important to keep the location clean and respect the local flora and fauna. Don't leave rubbish around the location and avoid damaging the habitat of plants or animals around the location.
