The city of Victoria in the Canadian province of British Columbia is a very photogenic city. Wherever you look, you’ll see the remnants of a bygone era that began around the mid-1800s when the Hudson’s Bay Company founded a fur-trading post in this corner of Vancouver Island. There were several gold rushes in the province, and the port city saw its population increase as a consequence. The British influence on the city’s architecture is unmistakable, and for a moment, time seems to stand still when one walks down its streets.

The city is a popular tourist destination in part because of its quaint-looking architecture

Even the signs adhere to the old style designs

Gardens and flowers are prominent throughout the city during the warm seasons

It's the little touches that count

That reminds me of building in Civ 6 😂 that city is my kind of thing, very photogenic and has a lot stories to tell.
This city has a frontiers town atmosphere, so it does fit well in the Civ games :)
😄funnily enough there's also Canada in Civ 6, I never played as Canada but might one of these days.
lol I haven't played Civ 6, but it sounds like a cool strategy game with a lot of variety.
Hello!
The building are all beautiful! I would explore every corner of this city just because of the building and the history attached to it. Lovely pictures. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Thank you, @bigabigail! This city is a very unique place with a historic feel to it. It is also surrounded by other cities, ocean, and wild rugged environments of the island.
What a picturesque place, I love the sign with the cat, the buildings and the last column with those illustrations. Great!❤️
I like that many small details like the sign have that old style vibe to them. Beautiful city.
Really beautiful and with a lot of the detail you talk about.
Wow, you know I have sailed by your very gorgeous part of the planet numerous times during my youth on massive ferries to Alaska, but as of yet I have never gotten to actually visit the gloriousness that is Victoria and Vancouver Island.
It's gonna happen one day I swear!
Lovely pictures my friend, I especially adored that red building with the two windows that look like eyes.😊
I think it would be an adventure if you visited the Island. Victoria, Tofino, and other cities in the middle of rugged wilderness is otherworldly to put it mildly. I hope you're able to do it one day.
The architecture is wonderful in this city. I still have a few more shots, so I'll be posting some more later.
This city will really be worth to explore around and enjoy cool moment sound there
