Culture Jam From the West Coast

The long nights of winter are cold and dark in the Northern hemisphere. No wonder we like to light up when Christmas and the Holiday season kick into high gear. Vitamin D supplements just don't cut it.

I'm glad it's looking lively this year. I like to see lights and more lights during these months. It makes me sad not seeing colourful lights. Then I get annoyed. Then I get enraged and swear that if I ever become Dictator or Emperor of Cascadia, this place is going to look a lot different all year round!

But let's not put the reindeer before the sleigh.

Looking pretty!

Whomever decorated the above tree is a great worker- efficient, dependable, prompt, meticulous, and pays attention to detail. Just look at the beautiful job. There are no dangling wires, no burnt out bulbs, or bare spots. The job is clean, neat, and well done. Just what the city needs. People who take pride in their work. Bravo!

We're a diverse city too, and we love our Germans, so the German-style Christmas Market is a hit.

We're not complicated people in the west. We like the simple pleasures in life. And if you invite us onto a wheel, so we can spin around and around for a few minutes, then by golly, we'll jump right on it.

Fantastic! I wanted to see how your city was illuminated and the mist gives it a special touch, beautiful pictures!😃

There are a lot of beautiful sights springing up around the city. I'm gonna have to explore some more. :D

It is the ideal time to do it!
