An Unforgettable Night with Papa Roach at Rockradio BOB!

in Photography Lovers10 hours ago

A few weeks ago, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a very special and intimate radio concert hosted by the German rock station BOB!. This wasn’t just any concert, it was a private, unplugged performance by Jacoby Shaddix and Papa Roach, kicking off their latest tour. Only around 130 people were lucky enough to be invited, and I was one of them. As someone who has been listening to Papa Roach for as long as I’ve been into Linkin Park, this was a moment I wouldn’t miss for anything.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience

Being there, so close to the stage, in such an intimate setting, felt surreal. Unlike a big festival or arena show, where you’re surrounded by thousands of people, this was something entirely different. The energy was raw, the atmosphere was intense, and despite being an unplugged set, Jacoby’s voice carried just as much power and emotion as in their full-blown concerts.

Of course, I couldn’t go to such a special event without bringing my camera. For the first time in my life, I was standing just a few meters away from one of my childhood idols, capturing the moment through my lens. That alone made the night unforgettable.

Capturing the Magic Through My Lens

For those interested in the technical side of things, i shot most of the photos using my Sony Alpha 7 III paired with the Sony 70-200mm f/2.8. This lens was perfect for getting detailed close-ups without losing the feeling of the live performance. I focused on capturing Jacoby’s raw emotions, the atmosphere of the venue, and the energy that was radiating from the band, even in this stripped-down acoustic setting.

Not only did I take photos, but I also managed to record a few video clips. I might share those later as well, but for now, I wanted to start by showing you the first series of photos I captured that night.

An Hour of Pure Energy

The concert lasted about an hour, and even though it was acoustic, it was still full of energy. Jacoby has this insane ability to connect with the audience, making every person in that small venue feel like they were part of something special. There were no giant screens, no fireworks, no massive stage setups... just the music, the passion, and the connection between the band and the fans.

Now, I want to share some of those special moments with you. I’d love to hear your thoughts! Let me know what you think in the comments!

This was an experience I’ll never forget, and I hope these photos bring you a little closer to the magic of that night.

That's really awesome. I like unplugged shows like that where they do them in smaller venues. I've seen a couple artists in places like that and it is amazing.
