I always associate Bali with frangipani flowers and offerings. Even living in Yogyakarta, so many places have that Bali vibes architecture which I touched on a couple of times in my blog. So now that I am in Bali, it all becomes really usual. I am staying at a place that has almost similar style pools like in yogyakarta. I think the only thing that makes everything different is that in Bali, everything still feels natural and there’s not a lot of buildings. The people do a great job in maintaining the natural beauty of the place which is another attraction itself. Another thing about Bali that I hardly find anywhere is the existence of sandals stores. In many other places, sandals are generally cheap and brand names can only be found around malls but in Bali, there are many pop up stores selling brand name sandals like Ipanema, a flip flop brand from Brazil. Other than that, the food in bali is the bomb. It’s generally cheap and is in huge portions. Quality of living is definitely something way better than in many other places in Indonesia. At some point, I have to tell you more about where to go and what to do in Bali. But for now, I really haven’t had the time to explore places and even some of my friends were like, “ among all the activities you can do in Bali, it’s crazy that you choose work”.

It can be seen that the bird lives peacefully there.

Similarily, when I think of frangipani/plumeria, I always think of Hawai'i. Sitting by the shore, smelling the flowers in the air.

Peaceful.

Bali life is pretty similar to Hawai'i in a way 😄
