Moon Pictures
About a few days ago, it was another third quarter phase. It’s a phase where you can see a bit of moon craters. The sky was beautiful and lit up. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to capture that phase. Here are some of my collections. I hope you like it!
Unsplash Experience
Though I like to only deal with open source products and decentralized ecosystems, sometimes I try to test out other things around proprietary products. They offer some things to learn especially about user retention and attracting users. Perhaps, many of us here use Unsplash or similar to get our illustration for our blog. I wouldn’t be surprised, the quality there is unmatched. You can browse thousands of high quality pictures for free and even attribution isn’t necessary under their CC0 license. Imagine all the high quality effort there but getting unpaid and people seemingly fine about it. Though, the platform offers a paypal donation that you can attach to your profile/bio.
I joined the platform to store some of my works. Oftentimes when they are published on hive, I am mostly likely delete the remaining that aren't published. Some are crowding up my memory and eventually being deleted. However, I want to have some sort of portfolio that also reaches other people whilst at the same time, hoping anyone ever checked out my peaked.com which is essentially behind the scenes and stories of my photography. By all means, I am not a pro photographer. I just started Q4 last year and it’s only been a few months.
I have only uploaded 6 photos so far and these are the results from 21 days ago.
Actually I uploaded another photo of mine. The unsplash team sent an email that they rejected the submission. It seemed to be automatic but it basically lays out some reason why the picture wasn’t fitting. I don’t have the email anymore but it’s really nice that they do that.It means, they really take care of the quality and the moderation. You can not just upload a blurry picture and even low resolution to the platform.
It was this picture that they rejected and it was without the liketu tag, obviously.
From that point, I realized that no wonder many of us rely on the site since we know they will have quality pictures and images that we can actually use. Not to mention, their policy in terms of contribution is quite clear. You can either use CC0 or even giving no credit to them. However, there's tricky part when you don't credit things around here. That's why I like to leave my images as CC0 and note it which means anyone can use/modify and even without an attribution. To be fair, I think this not only protect my intellectual property but also others. Unless it is CC0 means my image should not be distributed/ used. But if I am indicating a CC0 under my post, it means you can do anything you want with it. And at some point if you are accused of stealing someone else's work, there's a clear evidence that the photographer is using CC0 license. But, if the author doesn't use CC0 license and you're still using it, that's mean stealing someone else's work.
A little note: All the images in this post are free to use under CC0. So, you can either modify them and use them in your post. Credit is not necessary but it’s appreciated. Unless specified, you can not use my work without permission.

The pictures from your collection are great, thanks for sharing them with us. I think I'll take a closer look at the platform :)
thanks!
Excellent moons these days, greetings !
Thank you @wilfredocav !
Sick photos of the moon! Nice one!
I also used Unsplash before, very efficient and so many options. Maybe, I could use one of your photos soon!
Yeah, unsplash is nice and a good way to showcase photography portfolio. Not to mention, it can even available in many sites 😄. I need to upload some more there. Still organizing my photography folders.
Your moon picture collections are so lovely! all of them look mesmerizing, I really like them all :D Well captured!
I never thought of uplading your work on a non paid site to keep a collection of it save and be out there for an audience. That's a nice idea. Actually a worthy idea.
The moon pictures are cool, by the way
