Who would have thought sunflower thrives during rainy season?
Despite the rainy season being here, the sunflower in our home is growing so beautifully. This sunflower added more warmth to our space, adorning its surroundings. I only wish that the bougainvillea was blooming, too, so it could add even more character to this neighborhood.
In the past, I could only take pictures of a fake sunflower, and I used to grow one, but it couldn’t grow this long and big. The soil seemed more fertile, and the potting was also bigger, which made this sunflower grow taller than my other attempt.
This morning, I was exercising with my parents. We wanted to get some fresh air from the outside. I can’t help but notice the sunflower. While sunflowers are often associated with summer, it seems like ours grow even during rainy days. I suppose that’s thanks to the house facing east, where we usually get the full sunlight in the morning.
I am using the pro mode on my phone with the lowest ISO setting, which creates a dramatic look. At the same time, a fly was perched on it, and somehow, I was surprised. “Why flies?” Typically, there’d be butterflies, but it’s my first time seeing a fly perch on it.
I am really happy with the result, and I hope this sunflower brightens your day.
