I decided to show more pictures from the Moscow Main Department Store, the photo of which I posted in the Reflection Hunters Contest Round~32. Thank you for the inspiration @melinda010100 💙
This store is known to all Russians and all tourists who come to Russia: it is located in the very heart of Moscow, right on Red Square. The building of the store in the Russian style was built in 1893 and is an architectural monument.
It's hard to believe, but people lived there at the beginning of the 20th century. Ordinary citizens were settled in rooms overlooking the Kremlin.
Now this store amazes with new decor and illumination every season. And of course no one lives there 😅
In the spring, everything is decorated with flowers.
If you find yourself in this store, be sure to try the juices and soda. They are based on natural fruit syrups. And the sellers are just cute!
Don't forget about the ice cream in the waffle cup. It can be bought on the ground floor. Melon seemed strange to me, but chocolate and strawberry are just magical!
There is also a shoe shine booth. Looks very authentic except for a smartphone in a man's hand 🤣
This is a very expensive store and, to be honest, few people buy anything there, but it is always interesting to see the windows.
My favorite is the Main Department Store during the Christmas season. There is a fair on Red Square, and inside the store there are many Christmas trees and sculptures with famous Russian cartoons.
I highly recommend visiting! Especially at Christmas time in the evening!
