few of my male yard cats had a good will to adopt some. one day i would just find another small cat that now claims it lives here :D

2 of them did that. and i suspect they were related, maybe father got the custody 😁
One orange cat adopted another one that after a year we could almost not distinguish one from another.
And the black one eyed one brought another small black cat that had the same problem with the eye on the same side (maybe genetic).
Having an open yard often means that we had a decent amount of transition of cats. We usually have 1-2 that are "ours" and few that are roaming the neighborhood and are not hated by our cats 😄
